1. Where are we with the move to brewunited.com?  I know homebrewdad is working with someone to get a logo together, but are we waiting on a whole site redesign before moving?

2. What happened with the Hangout for bloggers?

3. After some back and forth on email the other day, I realized it might be fun to do a blog post of your brew science Q's.  The harder and more nerdy, the better.  Sound interesting?  Anyone want to pitch a Q or 2?  If you don't want to post it here, you can email me at admin AT immaculatebrewer PERIOD com

4. Time to make more beer.  I'm thinking lager, but I'm a bit indecisive on what.  I had a recipe planned out, but can't do that yet ... because ... well, you'll see in a future post.  So, sell me on what I should make.  The only input I have is that I think it should be a lighter color lager since we're going into Spring.  Dark lager just seems Fall like to me.

5. I'm trying to work up a list of micro-maltsters and where to buy their stuff.  This is actually a harder task than I imagined.  Anyone have input on micro-maltsters and where to actually buy their stuff?  So far, I only have Riverbend (which can be purchased at Atlantic Brewing Supply and in-person at their facility), Country Boy (out of business? ), Rebel Malt (???), Pilot Malt House (???), Farmhouse Malt (contract malting only at this time), Valley Malt (valleymalt.com/find-our-malt/), Blacklands Malt (order direct from website?).  Any other input on this?

1. I dunno.

2. Also don't know, but can't wait for it. The first time we did it it was a ton of fun.

3. I'll email you, I have a few!

4. Hmmmm, BoPils? I've been all about that style as far as lagers go lately.

5. Nnnnnope. Wish I could help!

2.) - I am judging NHC Austin this weekend - I hope to get something setup for next weekend or the following. I am helping our coordinator quite a bit so been some long hours sorting and organizing. It's on my calendar.

4.) I am thinking a lager as well or perhaps 2. I am really brewed ahead and kegging space is a bottleneck. Probably time to throw a kick the keg party after the NHC Austin stuff is done.

5.) Let me know if you want some Blacklands... you can only pick it up locally. One local HBS is selling by the pound - I can check the prices. I can get it easy enough and often buy a few bags. Happy to send some around. The 2-Row is really malty... not quite MO or GP, but suprising. I really dig it, despite the premium price. His Pils is less pils like, and I need to sync up on his process - I had 2 bags of the first Pils though his system. Very grassy, and very high protein content. Trubbed like crazy - still made a very nice Pilsner.

1. It's soon.  I'm trying to get a logo settled.  There are some design ideas in the works.  I want that sewed up so that it's a clean cutover.

But soon.

2.  I dunno.

3. Let me see if I can come up with one.

4. BoPils sounds solid.  Maybe a Helles?

5. Color me clueless.

I was leaning a bit more towards Helles since I haven't made one, but BoPils...

You see my dilemma.  I was just hoping someone would come up with some esoteric suggestion and it would be one of those "Oh, hell yes" moments.

Well, an Ofest, of course... but I didn't think that anyone stored them that long anymore.
