I let myself run out of custom caps from Bottlemark and have been saying for a couple of weeks that I'd order more. I finally got off my butt and did so tonight.
I have two batches that need to be bottled, and am brewing this coming weekend, so I'm behind!
Ordered 280 caps. Woo!

You did get the special acetobacter treated ones, right?

My favorite kind.

You mean the hate caps?
Posted 34 days ago.
Those very ones.

I've been meaning to order caps, hard to justify the price though

I used to cap all of the bottles in the fancy caps. I now use plain caps for a good chunk; the fancy ones cover enough for me to give away, plus some buffer.
I just view it as part and parcel of the process. I want the beers to look great when I give them to people, illogical as that may be.

If I order caps that say "kill whitey", will that balance out the hate from Olan's caps?

Let the record show that you guys suck.

Let's pretend we all agree in regards to our stance on you current caps for just a second.

Why is that? My blog is my blog. BrewUnited is great, but it's a community.
I have several pieces of gear (a mash paddle, glasses) that have been purchased with my "brewery" name on them. All of my beers get custom labels set around a theme that incorporates that "brewery". Why wouldn't I want caps to go with that?

You completely disassociate your homebrewdad persona/blog/logo from that of your brewery?
Posted 34 days ago.
I do, indeed. Homebrew Dad is me. A guy who brews beer and raises a big family.
My brewery is Confederate Dragon Brewing. All of my labels feature the same, lazy red dragon in an old confederate uniform, along with some sort of fantasy elements (a LOTR style dwarf, a satyr, a ghost, etc). The idea there is that the brewery is a nod to both my Southern heritage and my lifetime of geeky interests.
I don't find it odd at all. Most bloggers that bother naming their "brewery" don't go with "Bob's Brews" or whatever.
Edit: here's a picture of my "hateful" caps, if you care to see.

I don't find it odd that your caps don't reflect HBD or Brew Union, because it's your home brewery, not your site.
