I'm saying it: hazy beer, by and large, tastes worse that beer that has cleared.
I'm drinking (or was drinking... I ended up ordering something different) iron horse double rainbow, a muddy, fucking disaster.
Tastes good at first, then this harsh lingering bitterness that refuses to dissipate. I think it is the yeast in suspension bound to hop matter, etc...
Tbh, iron horse seems to be really popular in eastern Washington and every beer I have had of theirs tastes like shit. I don't get it.

Different strokes and all of that?
I agree, though... I always seem to prefer clear beer. If it's just bias, so be it.

Aside from the visual, I honestly don't know if I could tell the difference between cloudy and clear beer. That would be a fun blind taste test, though.

I think chill haze is likely tasteless as purported... But yeast absolutely isn't.

I think hazy from massive dry hopping is different.

@Rayfound,
what you describe is typical for an "11" or even "9 day beer", cold crashed and served too early. When there is still a lot of yeast in suspension it is because fermentation is not finished and cold crashing has no big impact. If there's nothing more to metabolise the yeast will drop out all by it self.

I've totally got to brew, too. Either the wandering barbarian, or my caramel Christmas beer.
