I'd kill for some tasters too Ray. I don't understand why people don't want to come drink for free. I know some people feel bad about not paying, but I've tried every way I can to explain that I want people to drink my beer.

I'll probably be asking for bulk hops and the like. Sack of grain.

I'd really like to get my BrewPi finished, but I don't really need any parts for it. I just need time and motivation to get it set up.

The trick around here would be finding anyone who likes something more than busch light. Heh.

Or my mom who seems to think anything darker than about 15~20 SRM means its good.

In my relatively short experience, I've learned there are 2 main ways to get tasters for the xBmts:

1. Take the beer to meetings, pubs, and other places craft beer junkies congregate... and catch them before they've had too much.

2. Actually make friends with people and invite them over-- I've got at least 2, potentially 4, people coming over tonight to contribute the last bit of data for the xBmt I'll be publishing Monday. Didn't know them before, met them on the internet, now we're friends and they do what they can to pop over to hang out.

My problem is that both 1 and 2 require high density of local craft beer drinkers.

This is something I do not have.

I will gladly drink ya'lls beer. Unfortunately it's a bit far from my place :(

I'll second the notion of having more time. There's so many projects I'd love to work on but simply can't justify the time commitment. Oh well. I don't know how all of ya'll with families do it. Between work, my girlfriend, amd my dog I already feel swamped.

Marshall is meeting people on the Internet. He's getting abducted....

And yeah, same as dan. Maybe sometime I'll have a batch ready for the homebrew club meetings, but that's the only opportunity.

Dan, no joke, I thought the same thing, then I realized... "where there's a brewery/club/pub, there are participants!" What's really required is a lacking sense of shame with a touch of extroversion, something my homie Malcolm has in droves-- that fucker can get 25+ participants in a single session!

I, on the other hand, am consumed by shame.
