Eff you guys. It's no more than 70% crystal malt.

Though the point about waiting for the brewday is utterly valid.

How about "ool. so it's not like I'm going to ruin the beer WITH THE YEAST SELECTION, then"

So I'm fairly terrible at identify specific flavors, so I'm going to say that it puts out a mild amount of esters. I also typically ferment it around 65 F. Sorry, not much help.

No worries. I ended up going with another strain, anyway (WLP051). Thanks!

I have not, but it does look interesting.

My fermentation is currently going strong - just about blew the airlock, as a matter of fact. It smells great.

You would think so with a name like "Burlington", but I don't know. I would call Conan "low" on flocc, and I wold expect peach esters.

WLP095 is not Conan. I thought it was at first (as did half the internet), but after some fairly exhaustive testing I'm sure it's not.
It will floc out completely with a cold crash.
As soon as it gets cold enough to order some, I'm switching to TYB Vermont.
That being said...095 makes a GREAT pale ale! It does have some mild fruit esters. I usually underpitch by about half and start very cold ~ 62* then ramp to 70ish depending on activity and final ABV.

Thanks, ehonda. Sounds like I need to give this one a whirl.

What sort of fruity character would you say that it has?

This may sounds weird but I think it compliments really fruity hops well, Mosaic, Galaxy, Citra, without having any real personality of its own. I have gotten peach one single time, but haven't been able to replicate it. I going to be brewing that recipe again soon with s05 to see what flavors develop.

I used it in my competition beer for BU. The final beer from the keg had a candied pineapple thing going on. Mostly Amarillo and Mosaic.

TYB's Vermont will clear as well.

Conan varies pretty greatly with all the different isolates. Omega's doesn't attenuate well, RVA's reportedly attenuates heavily, and TYB's is a good but not crazy attenuator.

That said, unless someone has a better idea or confirmation from white labs that it's not Conan, I would think it's Conan.

It could be. I can't find anything that states for sure.
I'm guessing it isn't, but I think the vials I've been getting are a little old and haven't been the healthiest pitch.
