Agreed, uberg.  It's one of the things that makes a community so great.

Okay, folks.  Feel free to keep posting here, but I won't be able to reply immediately - I have to take my son to a doctor's visit.

Maybe take the winner of the original one and put it up against one or 2 of the highest rated ones that are suggested in this thread?

I like the idea of the cool imagery of a fist holding hops, mash paddle, what-have-you, for the logo of brewunited, but soccer team and aggressive imagery didn't really come to mind and I can see a bit how that might be unappealing to some. hmm...

Guys, I will say that HomebrewDad and the rest of the charter members really did run through a HUGE gamut of names. Just a guess but if we went through less than 100 names I'd be pretty surprised. And poor homebrewdad had to go check if any of them were available, and it brought the list down to a shocking few.

I'm glad to hear the names from those who don't care for the two we've landed on. thanks for your input.

I really want to argue against changing the name.  But I am kind of falling short on reasons to keep it.  Although I also do not have any reasons to change it.  Being indifferent, I would say keep homebrewdad, or go with brewunited.

Or maybe keeping with the "homebrew*" portion of the name and going with homebrewunited.com?  Seems like a more logical transition.

And if the other Charter members feel so strongly about this issue, where is the feedback from them?

Not a bad idea. I'm sure Dear Leader HomebrewDad will take it into consideration.

We could tell you, but then...well...you know...

Yeah, sorry. Got to the thread a little late.

You would not believe how many emails have been exchanged on the charter listserv. Easily three hundred.

Yeah, I think there might be a re-vote or second round of voting possible if someone comes up with a clever name that's actually available.

If we find another name here that we really like, I wouldn't be opposed to pitting it against the winner of this poll, like BrewerBrad suggests.

BrewerBrad - brewerhelp.com is another one that sounds like it would be great for a "how to brew" style website. I think our aim here to build up a communtiy of people who love to brew, love to talk about brewing, and learning/sharing all the information we can.

Agreed with tracebuster excuse me, tracebusta, brewerhelp sounds like a tutorial website. Which is great, but I don't see it as the sole purpose of this community.
