Next door storage put together this cool infographic on how to store your home brewing supplies. Wanted to get feedback and thoughts on this.

For storage of malt, keeping it dry and at a constant cool temperature is more important than absolutely air tight.
(Base)Malt is still 'alive', if its roots & acrospire where not cut of it could still grow a plant. This also means it still "interacts" with its environment and takes up H2O, O2 or CO2 and also release these. If water is released, or moisture is caught in the airtight bin and the temperature drops you'll get condensation. The local high amount of water can lead to molds etc. This is one of the reasons why malt bags are not air tight, the outer layer is woven material for strength, the inner sleeve often is a micro perforated plastic.
So, put it in a bin that can be closed well, but not completely tight. Don't put the bins or sacks on the cold floor but on a pallet or something. Floors are cold and that's where the condensation happens.

Has anyone tried using silica gel packets, or something similar, for controlling moisture in grain bins? They're really cheap and used in some food products (I seem to remember finding them in vitamin bottles).

Why not use something like a eva-dry pack which is essentially the same thing, but it allows the silica to be reusable.
