Yep. Had to sacrifice that dang Hopback ale to the fireants... they don't like beer it turns out.

Question though... Have you seen instances of mold growing in/on beer? I suppose it could on a krausen ring in a fermenter left for a long time, maybe fall into the beer. I am a really OCD cleaner since my last contamination fiasco...

Yes, I've mostly seen mold after adding fruit and not having it fully submersed. Did know a guy that did a coolship beer and he had mold grow in his wort, but he insisted it was pelicle.
