I hope I'm not being a overly cautious here.. but I've never used WLP820 before, or any other lager yeast for that matter.. so the look of this fermentation is all new to me.. also sorry for the terrible quality of pictures..
this looks innocent enough (or grainy enough.. sorry about the quality..) but all the darker spots are actually large bubbles, while the white area looks more like the familiar krausen I'm used to seeing..
again.. terrible image.. but you can tell the darker spots are much larger bubbles..
also has a funky smell to go along with it.. my ferm chamber is a chest freezer, so I'm used to the C02 smell.. but this certainly has a different/interesting smell to it.. maybe I'm paranoid, and lagers just look different than I'm used to.. maybe the pictures are too terrible for anybody to really know.. I figured I'd at least see what y'all have to say..

Granted, the pics aren't amazing... but it looks perfectly normal to me.

Looks like pretty normal bubbling (krausen) to me.
As far as the funky smell, i wouldnt doubt if its some sulfur coming off of it? Funky smells are pretty normal for lager yeasts.
Mostly though, that pic looks normal. Keep that baby shut, and let it finish fermenting.

Yeah, looks like regular krausen to me. Maybe you're not used to extra sulphury lager fermentations?

Agree with the other guys. This looks normal. I've got an 833 lager going right now and my ferm chamber is loaded with sulfery-beer smells... Something I rarely notice on Ales.
