I stopped vorlauf when I got the brew bag. Eight or so batches in now, no change in efficiency or quality

I still vorlauf out of habit, but I'm quite sure that it doesn't matter.

Compacted grain bed? Psh. Grab the bag loops nearest the drain and pick up a bit. Liquid is freed and drains right away.

FWIW, ive done a fair amount of no sparge batches just with my bazooka tube. Maybe a tiny, tiny change in efficiency, but nothing really noticeable.

At this point in my 'career', I have used: Toilet braid, False bottoms, and MIAB Bags - I have noticed virtually no difference between any of them, and would be happy to use any of them.

I don't vorlauf any more w/ my brew bag. I found it didn't really do anything, the wort was pretty darn clear right from the get-go.

I've seen a bump up in efficiency since going to the Brew Bag - especially since removing my braid. Of course, I now squeeze the bag a bit, and I collect a little more wort.

I do not vorlauf. I also did not vorlauf before. Instead I ran my first gallon so so of the mash through a thin mesh strainer. Hot side aeration be damned!

I honestly don't think I have any brewing items on my wishlist, aside from bulk hops, etc...

Oh come on, there's got to be something? Permanent assistant that handles all cleaning and sanitizing of brewing equipment?

Gets knocked out of a place one time and gives up brewing... I see how it is...

I'm with Ray, I can't think of a single brewing item I want I don't already have.

My biggest wish, honestly, is for TASTERS. People who would take the time to come drink, for free, at my house.

Turns out, not for sale on amazon.

What I want for Christmas is intangible or unattainable: more time
to brew, and someone to build all of the projects I feel like I'll never have
time to build. Or to do the backlog of stuff I need to get done at home that
currently guilts me into not starting any homebrew projects.

Practically, I will probably settle for a brew
bag. Plus any ridiculous holiday deals on homebrewfinds.com
