Is it considered bad form to show your sheets to others without deleting the judge's name?

Looks like my bock issues were fermentation based. Guess i tried to get it done too quickly. Sad that that made me miss out on a cape, but oh well.

It doesnt appear that there were any contamination issues with the bock, though...and honestly that makes me so freaking happy. Theres been a couple times in the past that i was worried about possible issues when bottling, and maybe i did have some at the time, but it seems that with my kegging system and bottling via picnic taps, im doing a good enough job of sanitation. Super happy about that.

So...now i need to either step up my lager game, or just stick to ales. tbh, im tempted to just stick to ales, and im nearly entirely okay with that, but there is a part of me that wants to work on the german lager thing since german/czech is my heritage. I guess ill have to get the keezer built and then see if my pipe dream of a ferm chamber built off of that is do-able. If not...i guess i need another freezer ;)

Tho in a couple months ill be able to ferment in our pantry, lol. If anything ill be a touch low on temp in there.

IMO, you can share your sheets if you choose. A judge shouldn't put his/her name on a sheet he's ashamed of.

Now, posting online is more tenuous due to email address being listed. I would recommend to edit that out at least.

If sharing privately, they can be left intact I think.

So I finally got a chance to look at the score sheets and I was pleasantly surprised. I happen to have a few of my competition beers left, so I pulled one out, poured it and tasted it along with the two judges' score sheets. Overall, I would have to agree with both of them. I will say that I would have been more critical.... But their kind objective comments have me eager to try again. My scores were admittedly low. I expected that. The clear concise feedback on aroma, appearance, flavor and mouthfeel were just what I needed focus my attention on the small changes that would make a much better beer.
Now - what is the challenge for next year!???
Thanks again to the judges, Olan, to and all who have helped with the competition.
And thanks also to those who so willingly share their brewing wisdom.
