I've been developing www.thebrewoutlet.com as a side project for the last two months. It catalogs and grabs all the product prices for various online homebrew shops (Northern Brewer, Midewest, MoreBeer, Amazon, Love2Brew) to find the best prices. It can even alert you on a price drop for a product you've been watching.

Homebrewing (like any hobby) can be expensive and my goal is to make everyone's hard earned dollar go a little farther.

I still have a lot of merchants and features to add but I'd love any feedback people have!

I love this idea!  I have about 7 or 8 bookmarks I look at everyday for deals of the day. This is like Google shopping but for the homebrewer. Bookmarking it now.

@Mobius570 do you only shop online for home brew equipment/ingredients? Or do you have a home brew shop nearby as well?

Cool idea. Is this like camelcamelcamel for online homebrew retailers?

Love this idea. I was managing this on a spreadsheet for a while every time I placed an order, but I eventually gave up.

Bookmarked.

chino_brews: Yup similar to camelcamelcamel (first I've heard of that specific site). Probably closest to www.pcpartpicker.com

brianj: What was your purpose of the spreadsheet after each order? Just trying to track price trends? Maybe I could pick your brain and add a feature that you were using the spreadsheets for?

I plan to add a price history graph with last 30/60 days of prices for the product.

@winslow: I think this would be a great idea that I would use.
