In case you were wondering, at this point in time, HomebrewDad.com runs no ads that work off of exposures or clicks.  Right now, we are continuing to only run amazon.com ads, which only pay a commission if you buy something from there.

You may notice that there are few ads, and those are always 100% made up of actual homebrewing gear and supplies.  The only other "ads" are be in product links inside of my personal blog posts - i.e. if I'm reviewing or discussing items that I actually use.

So, here's the deal.  I am not hawking any wares whatsoever.  I don't want you to buy anything that you don't need.

However, if you are planning to shop at Amazon, be it for homebrewing gear, office supplies, electronics, kitchenware, entertainment - in short, for anything at all - please consider clicking on one of our amazon links before you do so.  Or, if you prefer, just use the following link to Amazon's home page (feel free to bookmark it and go directly there in the future).   The prices you will pay won't be altered one bit, but HomebrewDad.com will get a commission off of anything that you buy.

So the next time that you plan to shop online - be it for homebrewing gear or for a gift for grandma - please consider using one of our affiliate links.  It will be very much appreciated!

Put "smile. " in front of the Amazon and support charities of your choosing. No changes to affiliates or pricing.

That is cool to know, Ray.  I was unaware of it.

I like that link instead of going to your site just to click the banner to go to amazon..

(not that I don't come here often, it just cuts out the middle step if I wanted to go directly to amazon)

What the hell man, how am I supposed to decide between your link and Marshall's?

Easy.  Marshall's a celebrity, I'm a poor father of six.  ;)

I kid!  Marshall (aka the king of Brulosophy.com) deserves every iota of success that he gets.  I can hardly begrudge you supporting him in addition to/instead of me.

You may have to wait a while for me, I just spent quite a bit of money (some unrelated to beer) last week or so with his affiliate link. Will be a while before I make another order like that!

Edit: Wait, what the fuck, 6 kids? Good god man. I just had my first last week and I'm stretch so, so very thin.

As mentioned above, I'm honestly not trying to hawk anything.  All I'm asking is that if you are planning to use Amazon, that you consider using a HBD affiliate link when you do.

Don't feel like you owe anything.  I'm glad you support Brulosophy, and can totally respect if you continue to do so in the future.

Get yourself an eBay link and I'll definitely use it. Then I won't have to remember to split my support between websites. Another good one for me would be wherever my wife buys all those damn bras (just kidding.)

Interesting.  Looks like ebay no longer does commissions for sales, just on bids or new account creations.  I'll still look into it.

Thanks!

Hey homebrewdad I just thought of something. If you remember I've been developing www.thebrewoutlet.com which does price comparison across multiple online homebrew shops with affiliate links. Maybe if thebrewoutlet takes off and gets some traction I could do a cross promotion where I swap out my amazon tag (and other affiliates) with yours for a day type of thing?

Interesting idea.  I want to be sure that it's okay with Amazon to do anything like that; they can be strict on how affiliate links are used.

That's true and something we could double check with them. My understanding of their TOS is it wouldn't be a problem if it's clearly written out to the user.
