How long do you think unwashed (unrinsed) yeast will stay decent and viable in the fridge without doing a starter? I'm about to rack a lager and would like to save a good chunk of the cake for a maibock. I'd like it to be available in two weeks. What do you think? Save a quart under some of the beer?

Just two week? I think you should be fine. Yeah store it under its own beer.
I would be inclined to toss it on some starter wort about amday before to wake it up just a bit, but not sure that is necessary.

Not a bad idea. I could wake up the yeast with some of the wort that day. Get the full wort to temp, oxygenate, and then pitch the (hopefully) kicking yeast.

Two weeks? I wouldn't blink at using it.

An un-rinsed yeast slurry in the fridge will keep for three weeks no problem.
