Gorgeous! I just started a kolsch yesterday.
And I love seeing those carboy carriers...I've got a set; one of the best equipment investments I've made.

I'd still be careful, even when using one - I have read posts of them failing.

I do love those carboy carriers.. honestly don't know how I'd be able to lift these guys out of my ferm chamber without it..
Definitely still careful with them, the straps still move around semi-freely.. and these bad boys are pretty heavy when full..

Interesting -- what's the failure mode? On the stitching? The various plastic crimps and clamps? I could see it being an issue if things aren't tightened down enough, or if something is twisted funny. In any case, for me it's an acceptable risk versus trying to heft it by hand, especially if one is cautious with alignment and tightening!

I've personally never had any problems, but I've had the straps look a little loose (the IPA looks pretty loose in this picture).. I wouldn't be too worried about the stitching/clamps, that looks pretty solid.. Its just a good thing to be cautious..
