I had this beer last year, and I enjoyed it. It's more of an amber "Americanized" Marzen version - but that's fine with me.
I was in my local Publix yesterday, and saw this on the shelf with the rest of the loose/make your own sixer beers. I have a pretty fair amount of beer on hand right now, but I picked up one bottle for fun. I mean, it was only $1.79...
Ugh. I'm on record as being a Goose Island fan, but this thing was an oversweet, cloying mess. It might be good on pancakes, but as a beer, I was sorely disappointed.
You know that it's sweet if I don't like it.
