Has anyone used this yeast before?  If so what is your experience with it?  I was wondering does it need to be paired with a regular beer yeast or can it be pitched alone into wort?

Pitched alone for sure.  I haven't heard anything other than the blend doesn't get much sour.  The LAB is the same as their GB110, which I think needs a little warmth to get it to sour, so ferment as close to 80°F and maybe you'll get more acidity (if that is what you are looking for).
