at my brew partners place so I haven't seen them in person. Used s04 and notty, just an extract Irish red and pumpkin beer. He mentioned that they both look to have fruit flies.


someone just say "yes, its infected" to free up my Sunday morning lol

This isn't even one of those ones you can save is it?  That's what I'm trying to learn about some of these infected batches...what can be saved, and what cannot.

The only thing I can say is that fruit flies being present makes it more likely that this is an acetobacter infection. If that's the case, you're now making malt vinegar.

Yeah, if there are fruit flies actually at the beer itself, it's a dumper.
