Been too long since I've brewed. I've been going back and forth, but I think I'm gonna do a batch of Thundersmoke brown. I haven't had any on hand for too long!

It was that or the Wandering Barbarian IPA, which I'll do next. My wife seems to think that I should keep brewing new beers as opposed to re-brewing successful ones. Sorry, dear... it's good to have something you know will turn out well, and I can brew the Thundersmoke in my sleep.

I don't think I've ever brewed the same recipe twice. I'll always change at least the hops or yeast.

Yes sir, it is... right here on the recipe database - Thundersmoke Brown ale. This is a house beer for me. Super drinkable, still tons of flavor. Did really well last year at the company event I brewed it for.

Yeah, KidMoxie... I've tweaked that one several times. This will be the sixth(?) time I've brewed it. I'm pretty much past tweaking, now. It's gonna come in around 1.057, 1.058 OG, and will finsih around 1.008, 1.009 - despite all of that evil c-malt.

I'm always brewing something different.

I have some recipes I tweak, but like kidmoxie, always change the hops or tweak the grain bill a touch.

You should try that beer without the smoke malt this time Olan.

Good for you, Olan! A brew day after a long hiatus always feels nice.

Me, I need a little break - brewing 6 beers in 6 weeks (with the added pressure of brewing them for competitions) is way more than this casual homebrewer is used to!

Sounds like the opposite of my wife - when I finally brew something she likes, I get requests to keep making it.  She figuratively and literally owns half my kegs.

I wouldn't touch the smoke... ~4% in there sounds awesome.

I have 5lbs of cherry wood smoked malt burning a whole in my pocket... HMMMMMMM.....

Smoked malt is gross in any quantity. It's only suitable brewing purpose is for burning to fire the kettle.

No such thing. Tastes like a metal pipe in small quantities or licking a fire pit in high quantities. Both are awful.
