Ray - I'm with you. A few years ago I loaded up on whole cone when I was using a false bottom... Was never really happy with them or the mess, etc...

This past august when we hosted a baby shower for two of our brewing friends wives, my wife used about 3 lbs or so of the old whole cones for center pieces... It worked out better than in beer! LOL

I'm with you both.

I bought 3 pounds of leaf hops a year or two ago for use in my Blichmann hop rocket.

Big mistake. Leaf hops storability sucks, Their use in the hop rocket is minimal, and using them in the boil is a huge pain.

I liked using them as a dry hop because they were easier to keep out of my racking cane, but that was a marginal benefit.

Good thing my club contracted hops for this year, amarillo sitting at $18.50/lb CAD

Couldn't get any centennial on the contract though.

Dang, for that price, I could pay to have you buy me some and ship them across the border and I'd still come out ahead.
